In the past months or so, I’ve been able to finish a few projects and get started a few more.
First came here, I started to optimize the coding of Tarochang website. So I should rewrite the code because it’s a messy codes. Full of nested tables, invalid markup, etc. I wrote the XHTML and CSS for this site. But later, my codes became as messy as previous. This is an example of bad strategy, planning, and project management. Don’t try this at home!. Changing the structure rapidly, that affect the information architecture, the markup, styles, etc. So everyday I’ve added new lines in CSS. Just like write a blog :D. The next version should be better. Never do design before we get approval on the wireframe! Continue reading →
Uhh.. I’ve been trapped in an everlasting boredom!!! Everything sucks! Destroy regime!!
The good thing is two days ago (wednesday) my friends came from Jakarta, Mas Wisnu and Dian. and finally I’ve met her in person. Yep, face to face. She’s beautiful (no doubt) and very nice person. It’s funny, we couldn’t find the best time to meet while I was in Jakarta. But it’s ok, Tokyo is the best place to meet anyway :D.
I just read the Business Logs‘ feed, Google hires #1 designer in the industry. I can’t agree more. Doug Bowman is the best designer that can match the usable and visual in balance proportion. Doug also Google’s contractor that made the interface of some Google apps, including Blogger. So I’m sure Google already know his quality. He will join as Visual Design Lead, a position that did not previously exist there. Cool isn’t it :).
I really hope that all companies and startups re-think about their websites. Hire a good designer on the team and trust him/her to give the best result, that’s why we hire them. Put a proportional and reasonable budget for design. It’s an investment, not an expense.
So good luck to Doug Bowman. We look forward to see your works :).
Hi soy..i am so sad and I can’t sleep, coba lu deket ya soy, jd gw bisa nelpon lu buat cerita..
I received that message last Sunday around 6 a.m. Of course I didn’t hear it because I just came back from office at 5.30 a.m. at jump to bed right after. This message reminds me that I have so many friends that I leave behind, and I can’t help them if they need me.
This weekend full of conversations with friends. I had nice conversation with one of my best friends. She is in Tilburg, Netherland. We don’t see each other for ages. She is one of my best friends while I work at Bolehnet. We spent great times with my other three friends at the office. I usually came to their room everytime I stuck with design ideas. Since the last chat I realize that I miss her and other three guys so much. So I really enjoy viewing her photosets. So inspriring. Perharps someday I’ll take a visit to Tilburg and we’re both shocking the Europe :D.
Last night I had conversation with other best friend. He is one of the three guys I’ve mentioned above. I said that I’m too far away from my friends. He said that’s the price I should pay. I knew it. Just felt a bit difference, from hundreds of friends become none, right now.
I also had a conversation with my sister, Kania. She gave one Balinese recipe that I will give it a try :D. Cook always fun, I guess :). It’s like designing. Mix some ingridients to get the best solutions for clients. First time always be exciting moments.
I already heard news from my team in Jogja. Thank God they and their family are ok.
Good friends are hard to find..
