Japan style
Sometimes I still don’t get it, why in this country, almost all of the company websites has a very poor design. I’m talking about corporate HTML websites. Just go to Google or Yahoo Japan and type everything, click one of those links. You’ll see what I mean.
But they have excellent designs in Flash websites, motion designs and prints. Very awesome concepts. One of the best is the well-known Raku Gaki. All other great designers can be seen in this Macromedia Studio 8 Showcase, eight the project, a collaboration between top notch flash designers and developers. Don’t forget about Hakuhodo I Studio and Dentsu. They also have great creative teams.
But one of my favorite Japan designer is Azusa Mano. Her personal showcase website is very bizzare for me. Wicked concept and well executed. You should have a broadband connection to enjoy her site. It’s very hard to navigate through. No information, no quick links. We should try to put our cursor everywhere just to find the navigation. I need few minutes to find them ahaha.. But I can handle it. Very very talented female designer. I wish I can have her in my team…
